Cairo Curated was created to connect Cairo’s rich tradition of craftsmanship with a modern, design-conscious audience in California. More than a retail brand, it is a carefully edited platform for locally made fashion, textiles, leather goods, fragrance, and objects—each selected for its quality, provenance, and point of view.
The identity needed to feel rooted in Cairo without relying on familiar stereotypes. Our approach focused on the city as it exists today: layered, creative, sophisticated, and continually producing. The result is a premium visual system that balances heritage with contemporary restraint, allowing the makers and their work to remain at the center of the brand.

The concept is built around the idea that origin is a form of luxury. Cairo Curated does not simply bring products from one market to another; it translates the story, process, and cultural context behind each piece.
The identity was designed to feel considered rather than decorative. The circular icon references the letter “C” for Cairo, while the four-pointed star draws from Islamic geometric traditions. Together, they create a recognizable mark that feels both historic and modern.
The wider visual language takes cues from Cairo’s arches, framed views, desert light, architectural geometry, and the movement of an Aswan sail. These references are intentionally subtle, creating a brand world that feels connected to place without becoming nostalgic or overly literal.

The palette draws from Cairo’s architecture, materials, and warm desert light. Ink Black and Black Coffee create a sophisticated foundation, Hot Chocolate adds richness, Gold Leaf introduces a refined sense of luxury, and Parchment brings softness and balance. Together, the colors feel timeless, tactile, and rooted in Cairo while still appealing to a contemporary California audience.
